I am so glad that theres gonna be a “best of” UMC! I’m really looking forward to seeing them again! I do have a question though- Who decides which bands are going to play? Do they offer to do the show,or are they asked to? And, how come bands like ACG and Big Toe arent in it? Just wondering!… Thanks!
What a kick ass night of rock and roll Sunday was. Congrats to everyone involved!! I just confirmed with Casey “That’70sRockShow” will be playing the third slot on the July 26th show. What a great idea to keep the Dream Catcher rockin’ with San Diego’s best. Come kick off the 4th of July weekend with us this Thursday the 2nd at Winston’s in OB. No cover & the fun begins at 9:30 ’till?
I wonder if Don’t Stop Believin’ is going to have enough material for a “longer set”? Hmmmm…. I’m just sayin’…..
We can’t wait! Plus we get to go on early (6pm) and be back before the senior center shuttle leaves.

Watch out Renee! I got hooked at UMC 1 and have been addicted ever since. To the point whereby I was almost the only one left on the blog during the winter months. But… no body can say I give up easily!!!!
Haha! well, dont worry, Colleen, I wont leave ya stranded alone!!lol ! I’ll see you on Sunday too. I am really excited about seeing DSB again, I just think they are great! And its gonna be really cool, cuz I’ll get to see some of the bands that I missed from the first half (Diamond is Forever, and Dazed and Confused),. I wish Big Toe would have been in it, though. Last night… WOW! … Geezer are quite the entertainers!! They were so much fun! The best part was when he went up on stage while Firefly was playing-to pass out cookies to the band!! So funny! Speaking of Firefly–Shelly it was a pleasure meeting you,and I really DO think you are one of the best female singers!
I just love it when women do Led Zeppelin songs! You guys played really well last night! And, DSB– you guys rocked! You played such a good set,every song was awesome! Even though the lead guitarist had an issue with the amp, and the drummer broke a stick,and some idiot throwing his drink onstage, you guys didn’t even miss a beat! (thanks for the ‘souvenir’ stick, and the guitar pick!) You’re awesome, and I hope you come back to play for us again! Thank You! I really had a great time last night, and am looking forward to next week!! So, until then…….
